Grandparents University at the Stem Cell Learning Lab

July 29, 2022

As part of the Wisconsin Alumni Association’s Grandparents University, the Stem Cell Learning Lab at UW–Madison welcomed more than 60 participants over three sessions in July. Participants learned about the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center’s pioneering role and continuing research in stem cell discovery and medical advancement. They learned about the Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine Center and other UW centers, schools and colleges involved in this exciting field.

Jordana Lenon, B.S., B.A., has instructed hands-on outreach visits at the Primate Center, the Biotechnology Center, Discovery Building, Wisconsin schools, the USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C., and many other venues. More 100,000 people have participated since 2010.
