BIOSKETCH

Amita Kapoor joined Assay Services in September 2011 and became Unit Head in 2019. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto in 2002. Amita earned her Ph.D. in physiology at the University of Toronto in 2008. Following graduate training, Amita completed a short postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto and then moved to the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009 to continue postdoctoral training at the Harlow Primate Laboratory.

ALIGNED RESEARCH FOCUS

Understanding the relationship between hormone exposure during pregnancy and how exposure affects hormone and behaviors during the postnatal period. She has a particular emphasis on using non-invasive measures to assess this relationship.
