RESEARCH DESCRIPTION
My laboratory focuses on developing nonhuman primate models for translational pregnancy research to better understand the epigenetic regulation of placental miRNAs and their roles in placental function. We are investigating the embryo’s molecular contribution to establishing pregnancy and developing animal models of and nanoparticle-based treatments for placental complications. Using genome editing tools, we are developing nonhuman primate models of human disease.
